About the role:

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop features that enhance the user experience, optimize conversion and retention rates, integrate feedback loops, monitor key metrics, and ensure scalability and reliability of software systems. By understanding customer needs and staying updated on industry trends, you will drive continuous improvement to deliver a seamless and positive journey for users from acquisition to ongoing engagement and support.

What you will do:

  • Meet with other members of the Lifecycle engineering team to define the scope and scale of software projects.

  • Design and implement scalable applications, web services, and APIs.

  • Develop and maintain internal software tools.

  • Write technical documents.

  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs.

  • Identify bottlenecks and improve software efficiency.

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to develop user interfaces.

  • Develop solutions that are mindful of the user experience.

  • Critically think about foundational areas of the Vercel application.

  • Review and provide feedback on contributions from other members of the engineering team.

About You:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in full stack development.

  • You have spent time developing, automating, maintaining, and reviewing frontend and backend code.

  • Advanced experience with application development and architecture and are an accomplished programmer.

  • Understanding of the domain or industry for which the domains are being created.

  • You have experience collaborating with product and design contributors to achieve a common goal.

  • You want to work with your colleagues to iterate on your proposals and implementation details.

  • Experience with Next.js and the Vercel platform is a plus.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $200,000 - $240,000. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your location during the hiring process.
